TAYLOR CARSON

TAYLOR CARSON makes his record 6th appearance on our living room stage as one of only three SOS 5-timers … all for our 60th show! His resume boasts well over 1,000 performances and six full-length records released; his two most recent, "With Innocence" 2013 and "Go Amaze" 2016 both debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes charts. 2017 was a studio year for Carson. Thanks to that, Carson released his 7th full-length record, "After the Tamer Has Gone" to critical acclaim in December 2018. "Tamer" debuted at #2 on the iTunes charts and has Carson getting back to his roots.

From the delicate, "I Believe in You" which is a song Carson wrote for his daughter about never letting anything get in the way of her imagination. To "Josephine." A story about a girl who leaves her small town to chase dreams and marquees in the big city. There is always something to fix, but that is surely not what wins out on "After the Tamer Has Gone.

THE TALBOTT BROTHERS

The Talbott Brothers are a Portland based duo composed of brothers Nick and Tyler Talbott. Born and raised in Imperial, a small town in Southwestern Nebraska, they began writing and performing together in the summer of 2012 before relocating to Portland, OR. Forming an alternative blend of folk, rock and blues, The Talbott Brothers creatively combine blood harmonies with storytelling and infectious melodies.

In their latest full-length album, Gray, The Talbott Brothers illustrate the tension between conflicting relationships and the various trials of the human condition. Ear To The Ground Music describes it as, “Equal parts optimistic and captivating, inspiring and hopeful.” Following the album’s release, The Talbott Brothers made their debut at KINK FM’s Skype Live Studio, embarked on a national headlining tour and shared the stage with artists such as Johnnyswim, ZZ Ward, and Dead Horses.

In addition to having their music featured in national campaigns such as the Buckle and Tennessee Tourism, The Talbott Brothers are endorsed by Elixir Strings and have joined forces with Sennheiser for product showcase videos and annual performances at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. THE CONTENDERS

Folkicana duo THE CONTENDERS released their debut full-length, Laughing With The Reckless late in 2017 via Rock Ridge Music. The pair traveled the world in support of the album, the follow-up to their 2014 EP, Meet The Contenders, which explores the perseverance of hope in dark times along with the powerful way that music can connect us to others, the value of maintaining old friendships, and finding comfort in the arms of loved ones.

The pair recently recorded a series of live performances as a part of the Cellar Sessions series at City Winery in New York, the only venue that has its own ongoing music series.

Its hard to decide if this album is country music or Southern rock. Those lines were always blurry. Either way, if you like music thats infused with country and rock (along with some folk music and bluegrass), you are sure to enjoy this set. Its delivered with style, and the songwriting is solid and inspired. This manages to ride the line between classic and fresh.

PIP THE PANSY

PIP THE PANSY

PIP THE PANSY (formerly known as Wrenn) is the freshest Rainbow Pop artist to come out of Atlanta, Georgia. Unapologetically authentic and armed with a voice that can be sultry, lilting, playful, or bold, Pansy has marched onto the scene with her own quirky confidence.

In true renaissance form, she is the creative mind behind everything she does. Her immaculate sense for aesthetic is apparent from her self-produced artwork and videos to the bubblegum-chic outfits she wears on stage. An accomplished photographer, artist, model, and classically trained flutist, Pansy first stepped onto the stage in 2014 and devoted the following year crafting a sound and look that took her from unknown to headlining act at the historic Georgia Theater.

In late 2016 Pansy travelled to Matchbox Studios in Austin, TX where she worked with producer and artist David Butler of MISSIO to create her latest release, Royal Blue Daydream (Nov 10, 2017). It was with this release that she officially retired the name Wrenn and bloomed into Pip the Pansy, a name that would better suit the playfulness, imaginative spirit and colorful personality of her new music.

The Royal Blue Daydream EP acts as an explosion of personality and positivity, quickly pinning Pansy as a fun and well-versed persona in a pop world sometimes lacking diversity (Atwood Magazine). The EP includes songs like All My Friends Are Animals which has been described as an anthem for introverts and title track Royal Blue Daydream, a charming commentary on screen addictions.

From dreamy flute melodies, explosive synth hooks, and lyrics rooted in her deep awareness of life's brevity, Pansy proves she is more than your typical pop artist. She is a dynamic force of nature and continues to turn industry heads with her visual command, and an overwhelmingly joyous presence.

GRIFFIN HOUSE

It is a true, and nowadays rare, musician who writes lyrics so vulnerable and authentic that an audience is irrevocably captured by the powerful experience of sharing the journey. An album that is essentially an autobiographical account of personal mistakes, change, and growth, offers listeners a chance to reflect on their own experiences and connect with another’s story.

With Griffin House’s upcoming album, So On And So Forth , it is clear the artist digs deep and offers up his narrative after much reflection. House is now a young family man and artist who is choosing sobriety and celebrating the path to his success, through songs which share his perspective on how people remember the past with rose-colored glasses, how we grow up and realize what we deeply need, and how we must find happiness in ourselves in the present.

Recording and performing for over a decade, House has toured with Ron Sexsmith, Patti Scialfa, Josh Ritter, John Mellencamp, Mat Kearney, and The Cranberries. He received early critical acclaim on the CBS Sunday Morning, and his songs have since been featured in countless films and television shows such as One Tree Hill, Army Wives,  and Brothers and Sisters . He has also appeared on Late Night with Craig Ferguson . Most recently, CNN Newsroominvited House to perform “Paris Calling,” from So On and So Forth,  live on the air, and the song has been picked up by radio prior to being serviced. House has released ten albums and continues to headline his own national tours. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Jane and their two daughters.

CHRISTIAN LOPEZ

CHRISTIAN LOPEZ

For singer, songwriter and guitarist Christian Lopez, Nashville has become a home away from home. Thats where he comes to write. He rehearses there with his band. His debut album and Red Arrow, his brand new follow-up for Blaster Records, were recorded in Music City too.

Lopez is less concerned with the rock n roll lifestyle than with spending time back home with friends, family and the old cars he and his dad like to tinker with. At the same time, as interest in his multiple talents heats up, this only feeds into his fascination with discovering places, ideas and music. Lopez has been stoking that fire for five years, since he began touring and learning how to turn a bunch of bar patrons into foot-stomping, cheering fans.

Eventually Lopez connected with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb in Nashville. Their creative synergy ignited on Lopez's first album, Onward, released in 2015. Working with Dave taught me to trust my first instincts and not to overthink my ideas because the magic usually comes naturally, he says. Ill remember that forever.

His album Red Arrow does us a service. For many, it will introduce an artist whose singing radiates youthful infatuation with life through songs rooted in a reverence for American tradition. To those who have already had the pleasure of discovering him, it documents the next stage of a journey toward wisdom, insight, perhaps heartbreak and a fruitful crop of great new songs to come.  For Lopez, maybe its a ticket on that trip that will lead to faraway places yet end back home in West Virginia. Through his music we travel with him, beginning here.

NOAH GUTHRIE (POSTPONED)

NOTE: THIS SHOW WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR 21 JUL 2018, BUT IT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO NOAH'S FILMING SCHEDULE WITH NBC'S AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.  WE ARE WORKING TO RESCHEDULE A FUTURE DATE.

Noah rose to fame covering chart-topping hits on YouTube. He received national attention with his blues-filled version of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It,” which to date has received over 26-million views, with his YouTube channel, only1noah, racking up over 78 million total views.

Noah released his first independent original album, Among The Wildest Things, in 2013. His new album, The Valley has established him as an artist on the rise in the world of Americana/Country music. His songwriting and soulful vocal delivery are truly unique.

His growing presence on YouTube eventually led to his being cast as Roderick Meeks, a pivotal character on FOX’s hit TV show Glee, on it’s sixth and final season. Noah was featured in several songs on the popular, music oriented TV show.

After the show ended, Noah dove head first back into songwriting and touring. His second original album, The Valley, solidifies Noah as one of the freshest new voices in Americana music. He is often compared to artists, such as, Ray Lamontagne and Jason Isbell. The Valley is getting major play on streaming services, such as Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music. Noah currently has over 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone.

TONY LUCCA

TONY LUCCA

Tony Lucca returns to our living room stage for the second time.  You may know Tony as a finalist on season 2 of The Voice, or from his time on The All New Mickey Mouse Club alongside music heavyweights Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.  However, we know Tony as a bad ass, old school rock and roll singer-songwriter whose last few albums clearly identify an artist who has embraced his own voice and genre.  We have been fortunate to see Tony play on several occasions and have always hoped we could find a way to host him for one of our shows.  That day is finally upon us!

His most recent full length album - the self-titled Tony Lucca - hints of 80's style heartland rock and roll.  Blue jeans.  White t-shirts.  And songs like "Sweat It Out," "Old Girl," "Delilah," and others.  Tony's recent EP - The Kickstarter Sessions - shows a different side of his music which is centered in his personal connections with his fan base.  The songs were written with and for fans who backed the production of Tony Lucca, the full length album.

Tony is also heavily involved in charitable work including the organization Music Is Love Exchange, or MILE for short.  They spearhead cultural education and immersion in Guatemala and also organize service trips that are open to the public.

RYAN MONTBLEAU

Ryan Montbleau has been an acclaimed singer, songwriter, and bandleader for more than a decade, but with his new album I Was Just Leaving, the New England-based artist has truly arrived. Contemplative and richly emotive, the album offers a glimpse into the often-lonesome life of the relentlessly traveling troubadour, a strikingly single-minded existence too often clouded by the blur of constant motion.

Recorded at New Orleans’ Esplanade Studios over four days in January 2016 with producer Anders Osborne and engineer/mixer Mark Howard (known for his work with such icons as Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Neil Young, and U2), the album marks Montbleau’s first full length release in the wake of a series of seismic personal shifts. Songs like “Bright Side” and the touching title track reveal a uniquely blessed artist who has truly found his voice, his gift for melody and a remarkably open-armed approach.

“There’s no part of this record that I am unsure of,” Montbleau says. “All the juice of the last fifteen years is in there. My humanity and my heart are on this record.”

Montbleau has been among America’s finest songwriters and performers, earning national attention and a fervent fan following with songs like “75 and Sunny” and his breakthrough cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” the latter a Spotify smash with total streams now in excess of 14 million.

DAPHNE WILLIS

We are stoked to welcome back DAPHNE WILLIS to our Sounds of Simon stage for the THIRD time.  Daphne has released a TON of new music since her last visit and we cannot wait to share it with you.

Raised in Chicago and relocated now to Nashville, Daphne cites influences as varied as Elvis Costello and Michael Jackson, but her musical output cleverly incorporates such inspirations into a style that is refreshing and contemporary in a way that suits her songs best. She is currently a Pop writer at Sony/ATV and continues to release music and tour as an Indie Artist.

Daphne's music has been featured nationally and internationally on radio and television.  Her musical collaborations include work with artists Meghan Trainor and John Oates (go back and read those names again!), amongst many others.  Don't miss the chance to see Daphne in person before she skyrockets out of our league.

KEATON SIMONS

KEATON SIMONS is a bad ass rocker with musical roots in soul, pop, rock, funk, and hip-hop. The first time we saw Keaton play live we fell in love with his style and sound.  He was on our house concert radar immediately that evening, and we are glad to have finally pulled together a show on our Sounds of Simon living room stage.

He's performed his original music on The Tonight Show with Jay LenoThe Late Late Show with Craig FergusonLast Call with Carson Daly, and The Ellen DeGenereres Show. Keaton's music is also regularly placed in feature films and TV shows including Sons of AnarchyPrivate Practice, and NCISMost recently, his latest single, "When I Go," was featured in both the 2015 Summer Finale and 2016 Winter Mid-Season Premiere of SUITS.

In 2015, Keaton supported Chris Cornell on his new album promo tour, playing guitar and singing background vocals on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonJimmy Kimmel LiveGood Morning America and more. A video accompanying Cornell on "Nothing Compares 2 U" at SiriusXM Lithium XM surpassed 2 million views and Keaton's solo was named 1 of 5 Top Guitar Solos of 2015 by Baeble Music.

Proving that genres are just a state of mind, Keaton has even had success in the hop hop world as a writer, musical director, singer, guitarist and bassist with notable acts like Snoop Dogg, Gnarls Barkley, Tre Hardson of The Pharcyde, and underground hip hop legend Medusa.

STEVE EVERETT, BRAD RHODES, AND JD EICHER

STEVE EVERETT, BRAD RHODES, AND JD EICHER

We are wrapping up our 2016 concert year with a bang!  A trio of truly talented singer-songwriters - STEVE EVERETT, BRAD RHODES (Melodime), and JD EICHER - will be joining forces for an evening of great tunes right here in our living room.

Steve is coming off the recent release of his latest album Central Standards.  Labeled "Mr. Pop and Roll" by music critics, he has honed his pop/rock/soul sound into musical approach that is sure to put an immediate smile on your face.

Brad is the lead singer for the nationally acclaimed band Melodime.  His combination of bittersweet melodies and emotionally charged lyrics is bound to make you think "haven't I heard this song before?"  His music is heart-felt, relatable, and just plain awesome to listen to.

JD also has a recently released album The Middle Distance.  Songrwiting and curated lyrical expressions are at the root of his music.  His rust belt upbringing seeps into all aspects of his sound.  JD has shared the stage with Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Train, Maroon 5, Bryan Adams, Sister Hazel, Matt Nathanson, and many others.

TONY LUCCA

TONY LUCCA

We are beyond stoked to announce that TONY LUCCA will be playing the Sounds of Simon stage for a rare intimate show on THU 20 OCT 2016 ... right here in our living room.

Don't miss this one ...

NINA STOREY

NINA STOREY

We are psyched to welcome back NINA STOREY, a KBCO Studio C CD - Local's Edition alumnus, to the Sounds of Simon stage for what is sure to be another unforgettable evening.  On her latest album, Think Twice, NINA STOREY doesn't hold anything back. The soulful and sexy Los Angeles-via-Colorado chanteuse delivers honest and hypnotic songs steeped in classic soul-pop. Elegantly stripped, Nina is as powerful as she is provocative.

Produced by Chris Seefried (Counting Crows, Fitz and the Tantrums, Jay Nash, Haley Reinhart), the record has, in Storey’s own words, “the sensibility of an old-school soul record from the likes of Eartha Kitt, Diana Ross and the Ronettes with a modern, Bruno Mars pop edge.”

Nina has performed alongside the likes of Keb'Mo', Etta James, Sara Bareilles, Ani DiFranco, Sarah McLachlan, The Rescues, Shawn Colvin, DeVotchKa, and many more. She has also been featured on CNN Showbiz Today, MTV Online and Rolling Stone.com. She's had numerous film and television placements including The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy and Stay Cool on the big screen, and Days of Our Lives, So You Think You Can Dance, Girlfriends, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai and many more on the small screen.  As People Magazine said, "with a voice like hers, pyrotechnics are redundant."
